I have a birthday card I made for a crafty friend to show you today. I must admit that I've had to force myself to craft some days lately. My mojo keeps playing hide and seek. One thing that's always inspiring though is playing with Graphic 45 papers and I did enjoy creating this card. I used my precious 12"x 12" Secret Garden papers.
The card base is a 6"x 6" scalloped blank. I inked around it with Old Paper Distress Ink before adding the first layer of paper. Next I cut a piece of white organza and frayed the edges. I then mounted up the layers using the text paper, a Docrafts postcard stamp, a doily, lace and ribbon.
I've always loved the Lily of the Valley flower, the smell is so sweet. I cut out this image and made a mat for it using white card coloured with Bundled Sage Distress Ink. As I did with the other layers, I scruffed the edges with scissors.
I cut out the matching stamp size image and stamped the sentiment. They were matted the same way. I fussy cut the Lily of the Valley sprig from one of the papers and mounted it on foam pads.
I nearly didn't send this card as I really liked it and wanted to keep it for myself. Does anyone else ever get like that with their creations?
I've entered this card in the following challenges:
