Today is the start of the April challenge at Kraftyhands. Thank you to those of you who joined in with the March challenge, the winners have been announced on the blog. This challenge is just for fun and the theme this month is
"Nature's Work"
There are many miracles in nature but I do think one of the prettiest are butterflies so I chose them for my DT card this month.
I used the Butterfly Botanicals CD to make this 8"x 8" card. I matted and layered three papers with blue card and punched the edge of a strip of yellow paper. I printed out a sentiment, tags and other elements from the CD.
I love these butterflies on the main image and how they are on a newsprint background so their beauty stands out. I decoupaged the largest butterfly for dimension.
The three butterflies were cut with an X-cut die from yellow card and I added some gold gems to finish.
This CD is perfect if you love a vintage look and butterflies There are lots of fabulous papers, beautiful butterflies, tags, postcards and vintage ephemera to play with on this disc.
Don't forget to visit the Kraftyhands Challenge Blog for a full set of the challenge rules and to view the inspirational creations from my talented team mates. Remember to be a follower of the challenge blog to qualify for entry in the challenge. Did you know you can watch Kraftyhands shows regularly on The British Craft Network? There are some exciting new releases in the pipeline.
