"Anything Goes"
I decided to be practical this month and make a mixed media card as I need a few for upcoming birthdays. I started by using Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks to colour a square of white card. I then used a stencil from Creative Expressions and Chipped Sapphire DI to create a pattern. After adding some dots of white Frantage I matted this layer onto a piece of blue card and layered them onto an 8"x 8" (20 x 20 cm) card blank.
I created the central panel by using DIs Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio on white card and matting that onto blue card - as with all the panels. Next was the spotted panel which was created with Turquoise and Ultra Marine Brushos and a homemade stencil which I heat embossed with white powder. The flourish is from a Sizzix die to which I added some white gel pen.
The seahorse is a Katzelkraft stamp. I stamped it with Versamark and embossed with white powder onto another piece of card coloured with DIs.
Finally, I threaded some pearl beads onto green wire to create the embellishments and mounted them behind the sentiment,
Now please visit the Creative Artiste Challenge Blog to see the wonderful projects created by my talented team mates. Remember to have fun and enter your "Anything Goes" mixed media creations in the challenge.
