Pink Prima Birthday Doll

Things are slowly getting back to normal after a week of having the grandchildren. It was fun but very tiring. I think they both run on Duracell batteries.
I have a very simple but pretty card to show today that was made for a teenage girl.

The card is made from an A5 base. The backing is pink card that I embossed with an X-cut folder.

The stamped image is a Julie Nutting doll from Prima. I coloured her with Copics. The crown has been heat embossed with gold - which looks dull in the photos but isn't in real life.

The sentiment is from a Britannia die. I finished the card with a double silk bow and a Cheery Lynn
flourish.
I've found this stamp perfect for young female birthdays and it looks fabulous decoupaged too.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Swap Card February 2015

I belong to a little swap group on Facebook and we exchange cards once a month. This month the theme was "Music/Musical". This is the card I made and sent to my swap partner.

I started by matting and layering a paper I printed from MCS 'Quintessential Country Garden' CD and blue card. The musical paper is from Free Vintage Digital Stamps which I cropped and matted onto blue card. I added a couple of doilies and distressed everything with scissors and ink.

I found the music quote online and printed it onto a postcard. The bird is made with a Marianne die.

I added a ribbon tab and large rick-rack. The small die-cuts are from a Crealies die and the musical stave is a Memory Box die cut twice.

Valentine 2015

I know that St.Valentine's Day was last weekend but I have the two grandchildren staying this week so I'm a bit behind with things. This is the card I made for my husband for Valentine's Day.

I layered silver and red card on a white base. I used a Spellbinder's triangle die to create the cut out layer from black card.

The image is Sweet Pea Stamp's Norma J Burnell's Dragon Keeper which I coloured with Copics for the skin and Polychromos for everything else. I only used three reds, the black and the silver. I matted the image onto silver card.

I finished the card with letters cut from an X-cut die and some red gems.
I'm pleased to say that my husband loved the card.
If you have any Sweet Pea Stamps you can share those projects on Facebook in the dedicated Sweet Pea Friends and Fans group.

The image is the Santoro Mirabelle "Butterfly" stamp. I stamped her twice, once onto another Graphic 45 paper to paper piece the dress. She had been coloured with Promarkers.

Kraftyhands February 2015 Challenge

Today is the start of the February challenge at Kraftyhands. Thank you to all of you who joined in with the January challenge, the winners have been announced on the blog. This challenge is just for fun.
The theme this month is
"Hearts and Flowers"

I've made an A5 landscape card. I layered up the card blank with Kraft card and two gorgeous different papers from the Fleur Francais CD. The whole disc is packed with the prettiest flower images and papers.

I then cut two hearts from Kraft card and added another lovely paper. The image is from one of the pyramage pages. I've given it a die-cut mat and inked the edges before layering it up with foam pads.
I finished the card with some paper flowers, a metal corner and a satin bow from my stash.
Please visit the  Kraftyhands Challenge Blog for a full set of the challenge rules and to view the inspirational DT creations. Remember to be a follower of the challenge blog to qualify for entry in the challenge. Don't forget you can watch Kraftyhands shows regularly on The British Craft Network.

Crafts Galore Encore February 2015 Challenge

This is my second post today. For my Scribble & Scrap challenge card please scroll down.
The year seems to be flying by already. Welcome to the February challenge for the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog. It is a month long challenge and you can enter up to three times. A full list of rules and details of the prizes are on the challenge blog. The theme for this month is another easy one:
"Use a Stamp or Digi"
Our fabulous sponsors this month are Kenny K and Jellypark who are both offering digi images for the challenge winners. The details of the prizes are on the challenge blog.

I got to choose a Kenny K image for my DT project this month and opted for this fabulously fun digi.

I matted and layered red and blue card onto a card blank leaving a white border. The heart borders are from a Memory Box die and the little hearts are some of the negatives.

The image is called Craft Star. Isn't she fabulous with her crafty tool belt? I could use one of those. I coloured her with a mix of Copics and Promarkers and mounted her on red card. I couldn't resist giving her a pink glue gun.

The top sentiment is computer generated but the bottom one is from the Social Media Sentiments sheet from Kenny K. I used another of the sentiments on the inside of the card.
Please visit the Crafts Galore Encore challenge blog to see the other inspirational projects from my fabulously talented team mates and enter your crafty creations.
We are still looking for 1-2 new DT members. If you are interested please add DT after your name on your entry. More details are on the blog.
