Crafts Galore Encore October 2026

October means the start of months of dark evenings and chilly temperatures. I'm not quite ready for that just yet, so, I've made a Summery card to celebrate my sister's birthday this month. I know she'll agree with me.

While I still dream of Summer...

....Welcome to

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog.

Thank you to everyone who joined in with last month's challenge. The winners have been announced on the challenge blog. This is a month long challenge and you can enter up to three times. There is a full list of rules on the challenge blog.

Our theme every month is the popular

"Anything Goes"

and our sponsor this month is:

Conjurer of Dreams

who are offering a prize of 2 digi sets (4 images in each set) to our lucky winner.

I started with an A5 card blank (21 x 15 cms) and matted it with a turquoise textured card. I chose a butterfly patterned paper from First Edition Paradise Crush to layer on a red card and added a panel along one side of another Paradise Crush paper onto turquoise card.

I chose the Summer Cocktail digi set which has 4 fabulously colourful images of fun looking drinks. I printed one of the images and matted it onto turquoise card.

I created the sentiment  squares on the computer and matted them onto red card, then I finished the card with a blue bow and some blue gems.

Conjuror of Dreams

who are offering a prize of 2 sets of their collage images to our lucky winner.

I made a 6" birthday card using one of the gorgeous images from this month's sponsor.

The card has a fold back front. I used a brown Papermania card as the base layer on the card with a blue mottled card from my stash.

I printed one of the images from the Watercolour Blue Jays set and matted it onto some card. The Blue Jays set comes with 4 gorgeous images of the birds.

I coloured the edges of the mat card with a brown Copic to match the image.

I coloured some Spellbinder die cut leaves with Copics as embellishments and printed the sentiment on my computer. I finished the card with some gems.

Our theme every month is the popular

"Anything Goes"

and our sponsor this month is:

Conjurer of Dreams

who are offering a prize of 2 digi sets of four images to our lucky winner.

As soon as I saw these four witches from the Witch Spells set I knew I wanted to work with them. I also knew I wanted to use all four images, so I made a double fold card.

I used a purple card from Papermania and die cut the front panel with a Spellbinder die to give it a pointed scalloped edge. I added a computer generated sentiment, a hand cut bat and a little bottle and bird cage fussy cut from a Graphic 45 paper from the Rare Oddities 8" pad. I finished the front with some purple pearls.

This image is on the inside of the front panel. I added more little images from the G45 papers.

This image is on the outside of the right hand card flap. I've added more little images, including the bat, and a hand cut black cat.

This image is inside the right hand flap. Again, the G45 images and a hand cut bat.

Inside the card I created the text panel with what I thought was a funny explanation for the four witches all studying their spell books. I added more fussy cut G45 images and a couple of bats.

There are lots of wonderful witch images, plus lots more, on the Conjurer of Dreams website to choose your Halloween images from.

Crafts Galore Encore May 2025

Welcome to May! It's starting off with some glorious weather. Of course, the children have just gone back to school after their Easter break. They will have to wait until the weekend to make the most of the sunshine.

I have made a card with a different fold so I could display as many of these beautiful papers as I could on one card.

I started by putting a narrow fold in the front of an 8"x 8" (20 cm) card blank. The card can now be displayed as a sideways easel card.

I've used the Soft Beauty set of papers. There are four wonderful panel papers in the set. I matted the papers on blue card and arranged the panels to cover the card blank. I added blue gems to the edge of the right hand panel to act as a stopper for the easel.

One of the papers features the beautiful woman. I matted her, and the computer generated sentiment, on a lighter blue card.

I printed some of the flowers and cut them out so I could use them as embellishments. They are the flowers mounted on the bottom of this panel and above the focal point panel.

The card can fold flat for postage.
