This card has been made using a digi image and papers from Candy Doodles Collectors Edition by Polkadoodles. It has been designed as a birthday card for a young girl and I think it fit's the bill perfectly to enter into the Polkadoodles challenge to celebrate their 3rd birthday. Find the details to enter here: http://polkadoodle.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/happy-birthday-to-us.html
I cut my 8"x8" base card with the largest Spellbinders scalloped circle, leaving the card still joined at the crease. I then cut another large circle from white card to go on the front, plus a smaller one for the bottom right, so the card wouldn't roll. I coloured them with Distress Ink Spun Sugar. I printed the image onto super smooth and die cut that before colouring with Promarkers and shading the edges with Spun Sugar.
I cut three more scalloped circles from backing papers on the CD. Two for the main card and a small one for the extra circle. Before sticking the large base circle onto the card I glued three pieces of twill onto the left side that I'd coloured with Promarkers. I did the same on the inside right and hid the workings.
I cut out a sentiment and some butterflies using Marianne and Memory Box dies. I then cut the number 3 twice, from green foam and pink foam, and layered them before placing on the small circle.
I'd just like to wish a very Happy 3rd Birthday to Polkadoodles. Looking forward to many more x
