I so enjoyed making the "chocolate challenge" card that I decided to use up the leftovers and make a card for a friend's birthday. Seeing as I had craftily gutted the card and paper I used on the previous card, I had just enough to work with to produce this quick and simple card.
The base card was inked with Memento Rich Cocoa - very apt - and the Kanban pearlescent card and Industriana paper were matted and layered on top. I did ink their edges first for some definition.
I cut a doiley with a Cheery Lynn die and inked that with the Rich Cocoa then used a Spellbinder die to cut my MCS created sentiment.
I made a couple of pins with gold wire and beads and placed them under a lace bow. Then I inked the flowers to go with the Cheery Lynn leaves and added some Candi to finish off.
I still prefer a more traditional image topper, but I am impressed with how much I like the effect of these last two cards. Almost good enough to eat...
Utterly delicious, Andree. So rich and luxurious - reminds me of something...oh, that's it...chocolate! lol!
