"Anything Mixed Media Goes"
This month we are being sponsored by our very own Judy who is offering this prize to our winner.
The design team were asked to use stamps and dies on our projects.
This is an 8" x 8" (20 cm x 20 cm) canvas. I started by painting blocks of colours using DecoArt Early Spring Green and Cool Blue acrylic paints. Plus Docraft's Artiste Buttermilk and Blanc.
I used black Archival ink and various stamps from Docrafts all over the canvas. I then dry brushed white gesso over the top. I splattered some black ink and watered white acrylic paint all over and brushed Chipped Sapphire DI around the edges.
I made the flower with a Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die and card I'd coloured with Squeezed Lemonade and Scattered Straw Distress Inks. The fern fronds are also a Tim Holtz die.
The butterfly is from the Tim Holtz Butterfly Duo set. I used Chipped Sapphire DI on the embossing folder and spritzed it with water before embossing the butterfly.
This is a month long challenge so you have time to create mixed media projects and enter up to three times. A full list of the rules is on the challenge blog. For more inspiration please visit the Creative Artiste Challenge Blog to see the wonderful mixed media projects created by our talented team. Remember to have fun and enter your "Anything Mixed Media Goes" creations in the challenge.
Have a lovely weekend everyone, whatever you have planned. I'm sure I shall. I'll tell you all about it when I get back.
