February Birthday Girl

It's the start of another week and I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's weekend.
I really must get the hang of this blogging lark. I never seem to have enough hours in the day to actually write a blog post. That's a shame as I have lots of cards and projects I'd like to show you all.
I have finally found a few spare minutes to share this card that I made for a lovely friend.
I hold my hands up and admit I made a mistake with the colours on this card. I didn't realise how yellow the paper was when I coloured the image. In my defense the paper looked more cream to me. Maybe it's time for an eye test.

The card is an 8"x 8" (20 x 20 cm) base and the papers are all from the First Edition Mulberry Kisses paper pad. They are matted onto white card edged with Memento London Fog ink. I added a strip of lace and some scraps of cheesecloth.

The image is from Saturated Canary. I coloured her with my Copics and matted her onto white card. The sentiment was printed on the computer.

I created the flowers using the two smallest Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers dies and finished them with a pearl bead each. I then made the three stick pins and tucked them in behind.
I finished the card with some large half pearls.
I hope you all have a lovely, creative week.
