Happy Sunday everyone and thank you for all the well wishes, I'm slowly getting there health wise.
I have another of my Beach themed birthday cards to show today. This one was made for Alyx who is lucky enough to live surrounded by the sea on the Isle of Wight.
The base is an A5 tent card and I matted and layered three different papers onto white card. I added a doily and a strip of red ribbon before mounting the image on foam pads. The sentiment banner was created on the computer and hand cut.
The image is another one that was a copyright free download from the internet that I've had for a couple of years. I just love the happy look on this lady's face and her cheerful head scarf. The tiny words at the bottom say 'Come on in, the water's fine'.
Personally, the water would have to be lovely and warm and full of scented bubbles to get me to go in.
The shells and starfish were created with Marianne dies and inked with Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Inks.
Finally, I tied a knot in red ribbon and added some red flat backed gems.
Before I go I'd just like to remind you that you only have until 6pm (GMT) on Saturday July 4th to join in with the final Scribble & Scrap challenge. We'd love to see your 'Anything Goes' creations for a last chance to win a fabulous prize.
I've entered this card in the following challenges:

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, me and Jamie are so lucky to be surrounded by the sea. If it wasn't for two flipping overgrown trees we'd have the fabulous view of Culver Cliffs and Yaverland beach from our lounge. Intstead we're stuck with the overgrown trees, lol.
Thank you so much for this stunner of a card.
From a very sunny Isle of Wight. :D
