Turquoise Flower Ballerina

It's been another manic time lately for me and part of it I've been without internet. I do apologise for not visiting your blogs to see what you've all been up to. I plan to create some extra hours to the 24 we already have so I can manage to do everything I want to in a day. I'll let you know how that goes.
On the up side, I found time to colour some wonderful digi images. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I love all shades of turquoise, so what better colour to use for this stunning image?

I used a plain turquoise paper for the background and wrapped it with a length of lace before fixing to an 8"x 8" card blank. Then I added a panel cut from a Bearly Mine paper. The silver frame was cut with a Spellbinders die.

I'm new to the Aurora Wings images by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff and this was one of the first batch I bought and coloured. She is called Flower Ballerina. I used Promarkers for the image and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink around the outside.
I finished the card with some of my favourite Gardenias from Wild Orchid Crafts and added a spray of pearls.

It's back to the grindstone for me. I hope you all have a lovely day and suggest you visit the Aurora Wings shop and treat yourself to some of the beautiful images if you haven't already done so.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Don't forget to head over there and have a look, I wouldn't want you to miss out.

I have used the Baby 1 digi image again, but this time I coloured it for a girl, and teamed it with papers from the In the Pink Set 1. I've matted and layered all the gorgeous papers onto pink card. The die-cut 'Baby' is from Marianne and the flowers are from Wild Orchid.

I used an X-cut die to create the base frame for the digi and I coloured the image with Promarkers. I finished the card with a wired bow and three pearls.

Baby Blue

I have fallen behind with my blogging again. Things are a bit hectic in our household at the moment and sometimes crafting has to take a backseat. I have, however, managed to create a card to share with you today.
I also wanted to remind you all that Scribble & Scrap are currently having a DT call. The deadline is tomorrow, Friday 14th, so you'd better get your skates on. Please check out this post on the Scribble & Scrap blog for the details.
Now on to my card.
I've covered an 8"x 8" card blank with silver mirri card. I matted a paper from Bearly Mine onto blue card and did the same with a smaller paper to create a panel. I wrapped a length of blue ribbon around the layers and fixed them onto the base card. I tied a bow with the same ribbon and printed the sentiment on my computer.

This image is available in the Scribble & Scrap shop. It's called Baby 1. I coloured it with Promarkers and mounted it over an X-cut frame cut from the blue card. I finished off with some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a die cut from Marianne.

Please consider applying for the Scribble & Scrap DT. It's a lovely, friendly and supportive group of crafters and we are only looking for a couple of new team members to join in the fun.

Kraftyhands February Challenge

Welcome to the first challenge of 2014 at Kraftyhands. We have a new schedule for this year. The challenges will all run from the 7th of the month to the 6th of the following month. So make sure you put the dates in your diary.
The theme for this challenge is:
"Spring Flowers"
and is just for fun. We would love you to use a Kraftyhands product somewhere on your card, but it's not necessary. We do ask though that you follow the challenge blog.

There are so many fabulous crafty items available in the Kraftyhands webshop  including the In Sympathy CD that I have used for my card today. There are so many lovely toppers, card sets, inserts and more on this CD. They don't have to be used for for sympathy cards, but it is a very handy CD to have in your collection for those awkward times when a compassionate card is needed.

I started by printing a blank insert from the CD and matting it onto silver mirri card. I then wrapped a length of blue lace around the layers and fixed them onto a 6"x 6" card blank. I added a couple of  yellow flowers.

I chose the circular pansy topper image for my card and matted it onto silver mirri card. I did the same with the small pansy circle.

Please visit the  Kraftyhands Challenge Blog for a full set of the challenge rules - you have to be a follower to qualify for entry - and to view the fabulous creations from the talented DT. You can also keep up to date with all the latest Kraftyhands news and see sneak peeks on the Kraftyhands Facebook page and the Kraftyhands Blog.
And don't forget that the Kraftyhands boys are Create and Craft at 11 am this morning with their latest CD.

The Garden Floral Collection CD

Today I have another new CD from Kraftyhands to show you. This one will be premiered on Create and Craft tomorrow, Friday 7th February, at 11 am by Mike and Ian. It's called The Garden Floral Collection and is packed with gorgeous floral images, backing papers, inserts, postcards and gift envelopes. The card sets on this CD are designed for stepper cards but there is a template provided to make creating these fun shaped cards as easy as possible. You can of course use the images and elements in any way you want. I think the side panels make great bookmarks.
Here are a few of my samples using two of the stepper sets and a couple of the pyramid toppers.

There are many more wonderful images and papers on this CD and it's a brilliant one to have in your collection.
Don't forget to tune into Create and Craft on Friday morning at 11 to see the CD being demonstrated and the fabulous samples from the Design Team.
I will be back again tomorrow with news of the first Kraftyhands challenge of 2014.

Kraftyhands Femme Fatale CD

So much has been going on at Kraftyhands already this year. Not only are there the fabulous new Topper Sets but there has been a wonderful new CD called Femme Fatale. It contains images of beautiful women and also the most gorgeous artwork. All with a vintage feel. There are card sets and papers, inserts and toppers, mini envelopes and postcards. So many elements that will make the prettiest of cards.
Here are a few of my samples using a mixture of the card sets, backing papers, sentiments and wonderful toppers.

You really will be spoilt for choice with all the wonderful things on this CD. But if inspiration fails you, one of the bonuses of this CD are the nine idea layouts for your cards. You can always check out the gallery in the Kraftyhands webshop to see the Design Team cards as well.
I'll be back tomorrow with more exciting news from the Kraftyhands camp.

Kraftyhands Toppers

I'm sorry I have been neglecting my blog lately but I've been rushed off my feet with DT work and a busy home life. Among the projects I've been working on recently are some of the gorgeous new toppers sets from  Kraftyhands. They are amazing value and so easy to use. You get 12 die cut circular toppers for only £1.80.

These cards are from the Petite Patisserie set. The images are good enough to eat and I just love the vintage feel of the artwork.

Don't forget to pop over to the Kraftyhands shop to see the full range of toppers. There are many more collections to tempt you. And if you need any ideas, many of the pages have photos of the cards from the talented Design Team, or check out the gallery.
I shall be back tomorrow with more exciting news from Kraftyhands. There is still so much to show you that I know you will love.

Scribble & Scrap Challenge # 11

Thank you to all who joined in with challenge #10. The fabulous winners have been announced on the Scribble & Scrap Blog. Even the Top Three have won a prize. Don't forget to sign up as a follower to be eligible to win.
The theme for the Scribble & Scrap challenges is always "Anything Goes" The winner will be chosen by Random.org and win a generous £15 voucher to spend in the Scribble & Scrap shopBut, if the lucky winner has used a Scribble & Scrap digi that will be upgraded to a £20 voucher. The Top Three will be selected by a DT vote and will earn a £5 voucher to spend in the shop. A full set of all the rules can be found on the Challenge blog. We hope you will all play along with this new challenge but, please note, that there is a maximum of three entries per challenge.

As it's Valentine's Day before the end of this challenge, I've made a card for the occasion.

I started by matting and layering a red paper onto black textured card, both by Papermania. I wrapped a length of black lace around these layers and fixed them onto an 8"x 8" card blank, leaving a white border.

I added the sentiment to the center of the Vintage Rose Heart digi before printing it out twice. On one I coloured the whole image with Promarkers but only coloured the heart on the second. I cut out the heart and mounted it on foam pads for dimension.
I then cut round the whole image leaving a white border and fixed it to the card with foam pads.

I decorated the corners with Memory box flourish dies, red roses, Marianne leaf dies and black gems.

Now please visit the Scribble & Scrap Blog and Challenge to see what the other fabulously talented DT members have created for your inspiration. Also visit the Scribble & Scrap shop to see the many lovely images for sale. There are new ones being added all the time, including the new Puglies  characters. Once you've made your choice, you could be playing with your purchases within minutes as everything is on instant download. Please also ask to join the Scribble & Scrap Facebook group to make sure you don't miss out on any of the news.
There are now some fabulous papers in the Scribble & Scrap shop for your crafty needs. Please pop over for a visit.

Feeling Crafty Challenge #25

Welcome to challenge #25 at Feeling Crafty Challenge. We had a fabulous response to our previous challenge - Butterflies- with so many wonderful cards and projects. Thank you to all of you who took part. The winners will be announced on the blog shortly.
The theme this month is
"Dies and/or Punches"
and is being sponsored by our very own lovely Avril Watson. She will award a prize of Memory Box dies to the lucky winner so make sure you enter. Your entry doesn't have to be a card. Any recent crafty creation that fits the theme will be accepted.
As it's Valentine's Day this month I thought I'd make a topical card.

I started by covering an 8"x 8" card blank with Kraft card. I printed out a paper I've had for a few years, that I think came from Create and Craft, and used a Docrafts Scallop border punch on red card for the top and bottom of the card. I printed the sentiment on the computer and hand cut it into a banner and mounted it onto a matching Kraft card mat. This was fixed to the card after shaping using glue at the ends and foam pads in the middle.

The scalloped heart die is from Docrafts. I removed the center and added a hand cut bird made from Kraft card and red card.

I punched out some large hearts from red card and Kraft card. The small hearts are waste from a Memory Box die. I finished the card with self adhesive pearls.

Please visit the Feeling Crafty Challenge blog to see the fabulous creations from the other talented DT members and don't forget to sign up to follow the new challenge blog so you can enter your crafty makes using dies or punches.
