Feeling Crafty Challenge #22

Welcome to Challenge #22 at the Feeling Crafty Challenge. This challenge was formerly known as Emma's Crafty Challenge. The rules are the same, the most important one being 'to have fun'. A copy of all the rules can be found on the challenge blog.
The theme for this challenge is "Steampunk" and is sponsored by Lexie from Scribble & Scrap. She is offering a generous £15 voucher to spend in the Scribble & Scrap shop. You will find all of the digi images used by the DT in the shop plus so much more, including fabulous vintage photos.
We each got to chose the image we would like to work with and I chose the Vintage Steampunk Corset.

I used a pink Papermania textured card to cover an 8"x 8" card blank and matted a Bearly Mine paper. I created the sentiment on my computer.

I changed the colour of the corset in MSC and used a Spellbinder die to cut it out. I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink around the edges.

I die-cut the cogs from the Donna Salazar dies from Spellbinders using Core'dinations cardstock. I sanded them slightly to reveal the core colour and cut some more from Kraft card. I then arranged them on the card using Anita's Tacky Glue and foam pads.

Before mounting the topper on the card I attached a short length of lace from my stash. I finished the card by fixing on a pair of shoe charms.
I think Steampunk can be great fun with some of the wacky inventions from the Victorian era. It's great for masculine cards. But the theme can also be very feminine with lots of fashion images from the times from daring corsets to flouncy frocks.
Please visit the new Feeling Crafty Challenge blog to see the fabulous creations from the other talented DT members and don't forget to sign up to follow the new challenge blog so you can enter your crafty Steampunk makes.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
