April has certainly arrived full of showers! Last week was lovely with springtime warmth and sunshine here in the UK, but we now have chilly, wet winter weather. Things can only get better, right? ...

Creative Artiste is a challenge blog for everyone who likes to mix their media. So, as long as you like to use various mediums on your creations, we'd love to see you enter the challenge.
A big Thank You to everyone who entered Challenge #47 in March. Your projects were all wonderful and our winners have been announced on the blog.
Our theme is always
"Anything Mixed Media Goes"
I have a tag to show today.
The tag is a piece of hand cut greyboard. I started by gessoing the tag and then Brayering in yellow and then blue acrylic paint over the tag. Whilst still wet I placed a STAMPlorations "Shutter" stencil over the tag and wiped back the paint through the stencil.
The next step was to use some AALL & Create stamps on the tag in black ink. I added some details in white Posca pen.
I stamped the AALL & Create stars on watercolour card and cut them out. They were then coloured with watercolour pencils and mounted on the tag. The finishing touch was to add some white paint splatters and darken the tag edges with black ink.
Now it's your turn to have fun and create your mixed media projects. You can enter the challenge up to three times. A full list of the rules is on the challenge blog. For more inspiration please visit the Creative Artiste Challenge Blog to see the wonderful mixed media projects created by our talented team.
Remember to have fun crafting and enter your "Anything Mixed Media Goes" creations in our April challenge.
I'm off travelling again this weekend. This time it's to a craft show in London where I hope to find some lovely new supplies. Have a good weekend yourselves.
