Trimcraft Demonstrations February-March 2018

Happy Friday everyone. I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend. It's going to be a busy one for me as I have demonstrations both days.
This weekend my demos are for Trimcraft using some of their gorgeous newest collections. On Saturday I shall be at The Range in Carmarthen and on Sunday at The Range in Swansea.

I am lucky to have been working with two new collections and some wonderfully versatile papers.

The first collection is Hey Baby It's not only perfect for those new baby cards we all like to make but also for children's scrapbooks and home decor items. The colour palette is delicious and the images are delightful.
The range includes lots of colour coordinated embellishments as well as a decoupage pad and paper pads from First Edition.

The second collection is Nature's Grace. It's full of beautiful artwork of birds, birdcages and florals with colours in soft purples, pinks, yellows and greys. There are papers in different sized packs and a whole host of pretty embellishments to compliment your projects.

I have also been working with the Perfect Allusion papers from First Edition. The colour palette involves lots of earthy and metallic tones and the artwork has geometric, abstract and floral designs. The papers are perfectly suited to male and female cards.

Don't forget to look out for the new coordinating elements including bunting, frames, pegs, ribbons, doilies, dies, stamps and more. And check out the Trimcraft range of basics such as adhesives, card blanks, coloured card stock and papers.
Look for them all at your local stockist.

I'd love to see you if you are in the South West Wales area this weekend. Otherwise, have a  lovely weekend.

Creative Artiste #35 February 2018

Welcome to February's post for
We are a challenge blog for everyone who likes to mix their media. So, as long as you like to use various mediums on your creations we'd love to see you enter the challenge.
A big Thank You to everyone who entered Challenge #34 in January. Your projects were all fabulous and our winner has been announced on the blog.

Our theme is always
"Anything Mixed Media Goes"

This month we are being sponsored by:

DecoArt
who are offering this fabulous prize for our winner.

I have upcycled a box that my little dog's food comes in. It's sturdy and big enough to use for my ready made card collection.

I started by cutting the box to the shape I wanted and adding a central divider. I then covered the box with a First Edition Rose Garden paper that looks like newsprint and painted some random patches in DecoArt's Americana Desert Turquoise, Bahama Blue and Baby Pink acrylic paints.

I then gave it all a light coat of white gesso and once dry I added a band of lace around the box and arranged some bits from my craft stash on the front. I added some Prima Artstones and painted the lace and embellishments with the same paints as before.

Lastly I dry brushed white gesso over the lace and decorations which gives it a lovely shabby chic effect.

This challenge runs until the last Sunday of the month so you have time to create your mixed media projects and enter up to three times. A full list of the rules is on the challenge blog. For more inspiration please visit the Creative Artiste Challenge Blog to see the wonderful mixed media projects created by our talented team.  Remember to have fun crafting and enter your "Anything Mixed Media Goes" creations in the challenge.

Crafts Galore Encore February 2018

Sorry folks but once again I've not been able to spend a lot of time in Blogland as I've been busy dodging life's curve balls. I apologise for not making as many visits to your fabulous blogs as I would have liked.

Today I'd like to welcome you to my February post for
Thank you to everyone who joined in with January's challenge. The winners are on the challenge blog's 'winner's page'. This is a month long challenge and you can enter up to three times. A full list of rules are on the challenge blog.

Our theme every month is the popular
"Anything Goes"

Our sponsor this month is:

Fabrika Fantasy

I chose a delightful image from our sponsor to make this card for a little girl who turns 7 today.

The card is a 6"x 6" (15 x 15 cm) blank that I layered with two different cards in shades of pink. I added an amusing sentiment before printing the image as a large topper.

The image is Betta Fish Crowntail and comes with just one fish. I used a graphics program to duplicate, flip and resize one of the fish.  The image was then coloured using my Copics. I added glitter to the fins and finished the card with some pink gems.

Please visit the  Crafts Galore Encore challenge blog to see the wonderful projects and cards created by my talented team mates and to enter your
"Anything Goes" creations.
