Docrafts Demos May to June 2017

Good morning everyone. Happy Saturday. 

I have more Docrafts demonstrations coming up starting with today in Carmarthen. I shall be at The Range from 10 am until 4 pm. If you're in the area please stop by.

The new Capsule Elements collection is Metallics. It has gorgeous super shiny papers, tags, embellishments and alphabets. Perfect for adding a touch of elegance.

There are some fabulous new Santoro products including Gorjuss stamps, papers, decoupage and dies. Also colouring books, stickers, washi tape and wooden elements.

Perfect for the summer are some lovely romantic dies and pretty Anita's decoupage. All wonderful for wedding, anniversary and birthday cards.

There are lots more new fabulous Docrafts goodies starting to arrive in the stores. Don't forget to check out your local stockist and stock up.

I will be demonstrating in Carmarthen today but you can check on the Docrafts website to see if there is a demonstration local to you.  My next demo for Docrafts is on June 10th in Cwmdu.

Cherish Canvas

Hello everyone, I hope you are all keeping well. Another busy weekend for me. I shall be demoing from 10 am till 4 pm for Trimcraft in The Range at Cwmdu today. Before I go I wanted to show you the Valentine present I made for my husband.

This is a 5" x 7" (12.5 cm x 17.5 cm) canvas board. I started with black gesso then an uneven layer of DecoArt Media Crackle Paste. Once dry and nicely cracked I stamped some Stampendous text with Archival black ink and splattered black and red DecoArt Media Mister inks and watered down gold acrylic paint. 

The heart is a Flaming Heart from Prima's Relics & Artifacts range which I painted with red acrylic. I then used gold acrylic paint to stamp the veins. I made the 'wings' using air dry clay and an IOD mould by Prima. They were then painted with gold acrylic.

The heart and wings were fixed to the canvas with Heavy Matt Gel and I finished it with the Tim Holtz die-cut word Cherish in red card.

Creative Artiste #26 May 2017

Happy Friday everyone. I hope you all have a nice weekend planned. I'm hoping that now May is here the weather will get warmer and more settled.

On to today's business which is my May challenge post for
Creative Artiste.
We are a challenge blog for everyone who likes to mix their media. So, as long as you like to use various mediums on your creations we'd love to see you enter the challenge.

I love Lindy's sprays and have used them on this canvas.

I started by dry brushing a light blue acrylic paint and white gesso all over the canvas. Then I used texture paste through a Tim Holtz flourish stencil before
fixing lengths of lace onto the canvas with a matt gel.

I die cut the heart from card, used the stencil and texture paste and painted it with pink acrylic paint. The flowers are from my stash and I arranged them and the heart on the canvas with matt gel. The little stars are iridescent beads.

Once everything was in place I sprayed, sprinkled and squirted with Plumeria Pink, Hibiscus Rose, Salt Water Taffy and Ocean Breeze Blue Magicals from Lindy's.

Craft Galore Encore May 2017

I chose a Ppinkydolls image and created this card.

I started by printing a musical paper and matting it onto red card.

I chose this image called Alice and coloured it with my Copics.

I die-cut some hearts from red card and used miniature playing cards as embellishments.

I printed some vintage Alice in Wonderland related images and matted them onto red card.
