Today is the start of the September challenge at Kraftyhands. Thank you to those of you who joined in with the August challenge, the winners have been posted on the blog. This challenge is just for fun. The theme this month is "Autumn Colours"We would love it if you used a Kraftyhands product somewhere on your project, but it's not necessary. Though we do ask that you follow the challenge blog.
I decided to show you something different from Kraftyhands today. I used the Bold Blooms Poppies stamp to create this card. Poppies are always very popular but this year they are particularly significant as they are being used to commemorate 100 years since the start of WW1.
I made an A5 card base from cream hammered card. I printed the sentiment directly onto the card before folding. The image was matted and layered onto red card and gold pearlescent card before fixing to the card base.
I stamped the poppies three times using a masking technique and coloured them with my Polychromos. I then used the pencils to create a graduated background. I finished the card with three black pearls in the corner. Please now visit the Kraftyhands Challenge Blog for a full set of the challenge rules and to view the inspirational DT creations.
