If you'd like to be considered for a Guest Design Team slot, then add GDT after your name on your entry. A full set of  all the rules can be found on the Challenge blog.

For my DT card this time I've covered an 8"x 8" card blank with an orange Papermania textured card and matted a gorgeous Bearly Mine paper. I've inked a sentiment created on my laptop and die-cut two scrolls using a Marianne die and the orange card.

The vintage photo is from Vintage Sheet 17 available from the Scribble & Scrap shop. There are 30 sheets of wonderful, original photos to choose from, each with six images. I changed the colour of the photo to sepia before printing and simply trimmed it leaving the white border.

I finished the card with some roses from my stash which I tinted lightly with ink and some pearl strands.

Scribble & Scrap Challenge # 3

Thank you to everyone who joined in with our previous challenge, there were so many of of you we were overwhelmed. The winners have been announced on the Scribble & Scrap Blog. We hope you will all be back to play along with this new challenge. Don't forget to sign up as a follower to be eligible to win.

If you'd like to be considered for a Guest Design Team slot, then add GDT after your name on your entry. A full set of rules can be found on the Challenge blog.

For my DT card this time I've cheated and made a birthday card for my mother. I've used an 8"x 8" card base, a backing paper from Bearly Mine and blue card for matting. I created the sentiment on my computer and added a satin edged organza bow.

For the main image I used two digis from the Scribble & Scrap shop and merged them in MCS. I started with the Vintage Steampunk Fans and changed the colour to blue. Then, using the PNG format, I added the Vintage Steampunk Parasol, again changing the colour to blue. I inked lightly around the image with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.

To create the flower embellishments I printed the Vintage Flower Corner twice and then printed just the larger rose twice more. I coloured the images with Promarkers and mounted the single roses on foam pads to create some dimension.

Kraftyhands October Challenge

Welcome to a new challenge on the Kraftyhands Challenge Blog. Our theme for October is "Halloween Colours"

I used the Motor Mania Card Making Set from Kraftyhands to make my card. I layered black and orange card and used them to cover an 8"x 8" card blank. I mounted the first layer of the topper onto orange card.

The car on the topper is decoupaged with foam pads.  The tag and sentiment are from the kit. I added an Eazy Bow from the Metallics collection.

Craft Nouveau Samples 2

On Tuesday a new CD from Kraftyhands was successfully launched on Create & Craft and went on sale in the Kraftyhands webshop. It's called Craft Nouveau. The artwork is simply wonderful. There are beautiful women and fabulous papers, along with colour coordinated sentiments and matching inserts.
In case you missed the programmes, I have another two of my samples to show you.

There is a new card shape for you to play with on the CD. I've always known this shape as a Circle Swing card, but other people may have a different name. Each set is over two pages which you just print and cut out. Everything you need is on the pages, include sentiments and embellishments. It couldn't be easier to create these fabulously eye catching cards.

All I added to this card was some backing card, corner die-cuts, ribbon and pearls.

There are pages of square and circle toppers on the CD and lots of different backing papers, so you can choose your own layouts. I made this simple stepper card using a square topper and a pretty backing paper.

I added lace, some die-cuts and the sentiment. I mounted the image on a die-cut frame and placed some die-cuts on the back panel.
Visit the Kraftyhands webshop and make sure you get your copy of the Art Nouveau CD. There are lots of other items in the range for you to check out as well.

A New Name for Challenge #21

Welcome to Challenge #21 at was was formerly known as Emma's Crafty Challenge. We have been renamed Feeling Crafty Challenge. The rules are the same, the most important one being 'to have fun'.
The theme for this challenge is "Autumn" and is sponsored by Hayley Gillie who is offering a fabulous £20 Stampin Up voucher for the lucky winner. The Top Three will each receive a wonderful blinkie to proudly display on their blog. A full set of rules can be found on the new challenge blog.

I chose to make this card because of the gorgeous image of crisp falling leaves and deliciously ripe apples.

This card was made from a Docrafts decoupage card kit from the Tilly Daydream collection. The kit comes complete with orange embroidery thread to stitch through the ready made holes. I did this bit first.

I popped out all the layers and mounted up the decoupage on foam pads.

Please visit the new Feeling Crafty Challenge blog to see the fabulous creations from the other talented DT members. Don't forget to sign up to follow the new blog so you can enter your Autumn makes.
